My name is Maria Glaucia da Silva Oliveira, I am Brazilian from Lago dos Rodrigues do Maranhão – North of Brazil. I'm a professional manicurist, I'm 31 years old, I'm the mother of a 10 year old daughter, and she needs me. I have kidney problems and that's why I'm here. Back in Brazil I had my first surgery in 2017. Now, after 6 years I have the worst health situation and unfortunately, even though I am a very hardworking woman, I am not ready or prepared for this. My close friends and many people encouraged me to make this page to raise money so I could have my surgery as soon as possible, I appreciate all your support. One of my kidneys is only functioning at 39% of normal. I have how many stones in my kidneys. I am in pain every day, I take medication and it has been a long journey of consultations and disappointments. I'm struggling to be able to operate in Melbourne, Australia - where I've lived for 9 years as I didn't have private health insurance until recently, I'm still not covered by it. So I'm relying on Medicare not yet giving me a surgery date to finally be able to have it done and the doctors are not confident that it will happen any sooner. In total, I will need 5-6 surgical procedures. The first one is the most important because the doctors will be able to remove and access some of the stones inside my kidneys and get them tested and then have more clarity about what's to come. My case is critical, so I REALLY NEED these surgeries and I pay for it. I ask for help from everyone who can help me financially and who can't please help me a lot by vibrating good things and praying and rooting for my health.
