There are only two kinds of people in the world; the Irish and those who wish they were Irish. So let me introduce you to the very best Irish woman to grace our doorway at Casuarina Cougars. Georgina is one of the kindest women you will ever meet and as a junior mum at Casuarina Cougars she was always on the side line at games supporting her son Tadhg and her husband Terry (junior coach) and laughing on the sidelines with the girls. Even though Tadhg moved onto other sports she still had so much love for the club and continued to support our events over the last couple of years. At the end of last year Georgina and her family were living their best lives. Her beautiful children were thriving in the local sporting community and after many years of working for others as a nutritionist / naturopath Georgina was running a successful business Territory Wellness Health Food Store. Nothing could have prepared them for the moment that came next. When Georgina was diagnosed with breast cancer she sadly had to close down her business to concentrate on her health and her family. We know this would have been a heart breaking decision to make but knowing how devoted she is to those who she loves she wouldn't of had it any other way. Family always comes first for Georgina and Terry. When we heard about Georgina's diagnosis we knew we wanted to help in any way we could so this year we are dedicating our ladies day celebration to Georgina and her family. Despite her diagnosis we continue to watch Georgina live each day as a blessing.
