This October, the team at SJD Group have committed to running in the Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival ??
The SJD Group encompasses SJD Homes, Six Star Plus, Combined Builders Network, All About Rentals and All About Sales.
Our team, ‘Run for a Roof’, will be running in support of the countless families escaping domestic violence and homelessness, with all funds raised donated directly to the Victorian Homeless Fund (VHF). The VHF is a local charity aiming to break the cycle of homelessness by providing housing relief to those most in need, with a focus on women and children escaping family violence.
Run for a Roof is made up of staff, management, family, friends, and various trades and suppliers. Our team of 30 will be completing across all events from the full 42.2km marathon to the 10km run.
The ethos of SJD Home's operation is 'Building More Than Homes' and we aim to give back to our local community in any way we can, and in all that we do. We decided to take on this challenge to show our support for a cause that does such incredible work in the building industry. Each member of our team has set themselves a difficult goal and running PB, and we believe with enthusiasm and motivation for our cause, we each will achieve our goal.
This is so much more than just a competition to us. We hope to make a positive impact to individual lives.
Training has already begun and we are well on our way to our goal! Our crew have been training, holding each other accountable, and most of all, having fun!
