BSX is an annual one on one BMX race for charity that started way back in 2006. We run a number of fundraising activities, one of the most popular is a head shave. 100% of profits are donated to the Royal Children's Hospital Foundation.
On Monday 16 January 2023 Amie from Hair Cycle Sunbury will be sharpening her clippers for her next victim.
After 2 long years of nurturing, growing and grooming BSX founder Shane Jenkins is putting his glorious locks on the chopping block. Every last curl and noble grey follicle will be gone, some would say for the greater good (Shane might say they are just jealous).
Help us raise money for a great cause and make Shane's very public sacrifice worth while. Please donate, no matter how little.
The BSX head shave origin story
The BSX head shave started just 5 years ago when Gary from ECI, one of BSX's biggest supporters, asked Shane if he would shave his head should $500 be raised. Thinking it wasn't possible Shane agreed, only to find out the $500 was surpassed in less than an hour. It has been an ongoing tradition since, helping to add to the success of the already popular event.
