On the 26th of September, our gorgeous family kitten who is only 9 month's old, was hit by a car and found on the side of the road in our street, in a critical condition, struggling to pick herself up. Pickles was taken straight to the Animal Welfare League and was put on oxygen as her lungs were severely bruised. The AWL has told us we need to keep her there for a few days as she need's all the care she can get.
We have already spent $3000 on her bill's and are needing to keep her longer at the vet. It's going to cost us $1630.00 for Pickles to stay in their care, every 3 days.
UPDATE AS OF 30.09.22: we’ve just been updated with news from the AWL. Pickles is now needing to have her front right foot amputated, her foot is completely limb and her breathing is still heavy/fast. The operation will be getting done once her breathing has slowed down, we’ve been told the price for her operation should roughly be $1000 - $1500 on top of the amount we are needing to pay for her to stay there every three days.
This is a list of what we are needing to pay for, in order for Pickle's to have a second chance at life:
Emergency $ Urgent Consultation Oxygen Therapy Hospitalisation (Critical Care) Hospitalisation (up to 24hrs) Noroclav Injection 140mg Amoxyclav Tablets 50mg Durogesic Patches 12ugm Intravenous Fluids Fluids (Additional Bags) Solosite Wound Gel 50g 2x IV Catheter Placement 2x Methadone Injection 10mg 2x Meloxicam (Pain Relief) Injection Meloxicam Cat 0.5mg Oral (3ml) Stitch Up & Wound Care Anaesthetic Induction 0-10kg Anaesthetic Maintenance 0-30 minutes Surgery Time (Stitch Up Simple) Surgical Disposables Theatre Fee
We would really appreciate any sort of help, we are absolutely shattered and are so grateful that someone was kind enough to stop and help her. ❤️
