Isabel's Big Chop - 7 October

Hi my name is Isabel. I have been growing my hair for a long time because I want to donate it to sick children who are losing their hair. So I will give it a big chop soon so these children can use my hair for a wig. The organisation that I am donating my hair too is Variety Hair with Heart that has a hair donation program.They will create real hair wigs for children who have lost their hair due to a long-term medical condition.

I also want to raise money for children with brain cancer. The charity I have chosen to raise funds for is Brainchild Foundation. This is a national charitable organisation that has been assisting families since 2010. They support and educate those who have children who are affected by brain and spinal cord tumours. The Foundation is a community of medical professionals, dedicated parents and friends of children affected by this life-threatening disease who volunteer their time to make a difference.

It makes me so sad to think some children are so unwell. It would be a devastating time for them and their families. Children should be having fun, living life, learning and being happy, not sick in hospitals and in bed. So I am doing what I can to help these children and their families.
