About

Since the last captive Thylacine died in 1936 in Beaumaris Zoo in Hobart, there has been no less than 7000 reported sightings of them not only in Tasmania, but all over mainland Australia as well. TAGOA has collected another 500+ sightings from people of all walks of life who have no reason to lie, and many amazing similarities in what they described they witnessed.
Some academics in the scientific community have abandoned this animal and now rather than spend good time and effort researching these sightings, the main focus is on cloning. Cloning an animal that is considered to be critically endangered in Tasmania by several world renowned scientists and not extinct at all.
Since it's inception, TAGOA has aimed to bring these sightings accounts to light , to try and gather hard evidence of the continued existence of this amazing animal.

TAGOA has taken the search for the Thylacine/Tasmanian Tiger, to new heights with their recent video in South Australia of a very Thylacine like animal on thermal vision.

"If we had some thermal Monoculars of better image quality, we could've photographed that animals smile"...
It was then that we decided we need to take this to the next level, as far as equipment goes, and get fitted out with at least 2 professional high resolution thermal monoculars, for finding and filming this elusive beast.
This campaign is about funding the equipment that will equip the core of our researchers with the equipment they need to get definitive proof of the Thylacine's ongoing existence.
TAGOA has the dedication and experience with sightings locations to be able to use a drone, plus high resolution thermal monocular's to locate and film this animal safely from a distance, and prove the identity of the animal behind the dozens of Thylacine sightings that we receive from all over Australia every year, South Australia in particular has many of these sightings...
This equipment isn't cheap and the Drone alone is worth about $2,500 and an extra $4,000 each for the Pulsar thermal monoculars.
Initially, we aim to get Mick & Mark a drone and then purchase the thermal handhelds to bolster their chances of getting nice, sharp clear images of mainland Thylacine's.
Ideally we can raise enough fuinds to purchase 2 of the handheld monoculars, one in South Australia and one for Tasmania, to search in some of the key areas where we have had evidence of Thylacine's either reported or found i.e. footprints and audio recordings and prey animals.
So this appeal for funding is about correcting the history books once and for all, and re-establishing the Thylacine aka Tasmanian Tiger back on the endangered species list so that it can be protected properly and given the territory it lives in managed in a way that ensures it's future survival and not let it be left behind by the zoological community once again...
Please help us get this evidence the Government demands to force them into action and work to conserve this amazing and unique animal for the future...

Good luck Neil. Love the group. I hope I can report a sighting one day. I had my eyes peeled in Gippsland earlier in the year but only saw emu and a dingo.
