Hi. My name is Anatoliy. I live and work in a small town in the northwest of Ukraine in the Zhytomyr region. Before the Russian invasion, I ran a successful IT services company with many clients in Australia, New Zealand and the United States. On the very first day of the full-scale war, we started our volunteer initiative to support the people in need fleeing from Kyiv and the Northern part of the Zhytomyr region. Along with our IT works for the Government, we managed to buy and supply food and medicine
Very soon, we’d run through all the money we had in the business, and all our personal savings. This did not mean stopping helping the ones in need, but certainly slows us down significantly, as the list of things we have been asked for is still far from ending. Our first step was to ask our clients for help and that has been great– but we are being asked by the community to do more as the horrific actions of the Russian invaders impacts more and more Ukrainians – leaving families without support and causing a wave of displaced refugees from the east of the country and Kyiv.
So, we are now trying to raise more money to continue our work and increase the number of people we can help.
Who needs our help?
The families of people who have gone to the front line – especially women and children. We are supplying food and other basic supplies for the children (including nappies).
The refugees coming from the East. We work with the local hospital to help supply food, shelter and medical supplies for families arriving from the war zone.
Why us?
There are lots of people raising money to support Ukraine and Ukrainians in this horrific time. When you give to us, you can be sure that vital supplies and equipment are going directly to the community – to people we know; and to people we KNOW need them. I’m sending my team overland to Poland and Spain to try to buy supplies as we can’t fly anything in. We not only make sure we buy high quality supplies but that they get to the people who need them most. But that takes time, so we need to make sure that every trip is worthwhile by filling the car with supplies each time.
How will we spend the funds?
Any donation at all might buy food, nappies and other kids’ supplies – ongoing and prices are rising!
$50 buys a first aid kit
$6,000 buys one minivan (4x4) to transport refugee families
Please donate. Every donation will help our community as we work together to support each other and defend our country.
