Suicide in the leading cause of death for Aussies aged between 15 and 44 years old. 45% of Australians will experience a mental health illness at some stage in their life and by 2030, depression is set to be a leading health concern worldwide. These are truly scary statistics. It is something we all need to talk more about and having lost a good mate to depression, it is something I care about very deeply. For context, a combined donation total of $500 can empower young people to manage their mental health by training 1 youth presenter to deliver high school education programs. A combined total of $5,000 can improve the mental fitness of young people by delivering mental health presentations in 10 schools.
