Drovers Walk

I've partnered with Take3 for the Sea and the ACF to help people learn about conservation. I'm planning to do this by raising funds for the organisations by walking approximately 1000km from Melbourne to Newcastle and sharing daily sustainable lessons.

I'll be visiting rural towns to see how they've been impacted over the last few years of natural disasters. Conservation and climate change has been washed out of any news outlet over the last couple of years because of Covid and I’m trying to bring people’s attention back to issues that haven’t stopped growing, whilst also providing lessons to incorporate into their day to day lives. I understand how overwhelming sustainability can be to newcomers, so putting in some grunt work to make it easier for people and raising money for great organisations seemed like best idea.

Why Take3 and ACF?

Growing up in a coastal town, the importance of keeping our beaches and oceans clean was always so important, that way get to enjoy them everyday. Plastic pollution is killing wildlife, devastating oceans and threatening the health of our planet. Plastic represents a disconnection. It’s a material designed to last forever that we often use only once. Poorly managed plastic leaks into the sea. The ocean is downhill from everywhere.

Through education that inspires participation, Take 3 is building a global movement of people who are connected to the planet.

ACF is Australia's national environment organisation. They are 700,000 people who speak out for the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the places and wildlife we love. They are proudly independent, non-partisan and funded by donations from the community.

They don’t accept the story that we must sacrifice nature for a quick buck. People made this crisis and together we can solve it. They are taking on pollution, Climate damage and habitat destruction by challenging the big polluters, the rigged rules and the politicians who forget they represent the people.
