K’gari Fraser Island is paradise on earth, or rather it was until it was recently trashed by the rubbish washing up from as far south as Ipswich and Brisbane. We urgently need to help to keep the clean up on K’gari Fraser Island going. This world heritage listed national park is a national treasure and we have been out since 11th March cleaning up the beach with the community. We have collected 10 TONNES already and the rubbish just keeps on coming. Each high tide brings more with it. From thousands of ice coffee bottles and chocolate wrappers to water tanks and wheelie bins. The volume of rubbish is unlike anything we have seen before in a our 5 years of cleaning on K’gari Fraser Island.
