With a FIFO career spanning 10 + years I have struggled being isolated from family and friends for long periods of time. We all know someone struggling or have struggled personally with a mental health issue at some point in our lives. (Actual statistic is 1 in 5 or 20% will be effected.) All money raised in the lead up to this epic event will go directly to mental health charity Black Dog On A Lead. Raising awareness and Talking openly to change the stigma surrounding mental health.

Only 9 short days to go until the race of a lifetime! I just wanted to thank everyone who has contributed to this fundraising Campaign. It has been a huge effort and now the only thing left to do is to head to the land of the long white cloud this weekend and get stuck into the event!

Quick trail run hit out this morning after 6+ weeks of paddling to get certified in Grade 2 White water. Thanks for all the recent donations family and friends. Long way to go but we will get there.

Some great news. Although unsuccessful last year due to a backlog of entrants thanks to Covid travel restrictions, Today I have been accepted into the 2024 NZ Kathmandu Coast to Coast! Training is already well underway with a Margaret River ultra Marathon in May. Will start to post some regular updates and fundraising milestones for Men’s Mental Health.

Official reply from Coast to Coast Admin on Friday morning. Unfortunately won’t likely be racing in 2023 but will be in the box seat for 2024 Time for some staging events and a real shot at raising the $25k Appreciate everyone’s support.

Due to the backlog of entrants from 2021 and 2022 I have not gained an entry to the 2023 race at this stage and have been put on a waitlist. While this is frustrating it merely gives me more time to train and raise money for my cause. I have identified several more staging events which I will share more info about in coming days but these include the Avon descent, WA ultra trail run series and some off road mountain biking trail races. More updates on events and training to follow. Thanks team

Less than a year to go. This years race was last weekend so I will upload some images from the event. Almost $1000 raised in the 1st 10 days. Thanks to all my supporters. Registration for the event is late next week so I will advise if we are accepted for 2023
