My name is Ananya and I have always wanted to do something nice to help people in need. I heard about hair donations and decided to grow my hair so that my hair can go towards making wigs for children who have health conditions that cause hair loss. I am doing this in memory of my favourite teacher who lost her battle to cancer last year. I have been growing my hair for 4 years now and it’s quite long and ready for the chop. I would like the money raised to go to The Wesley Hospital Choices Cancer Support Centre, in my local community, that supports people who are going through all types of cancers. Dear all, I have taken the chop on 20/03/2022 and it felt amazing. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support and encouragement in this journey of mine. Today is the last day of my campaign and I can say with lot of pride that, together, we have received way more than my target amount. The Wesley Hospital Choices Cancer Support Centre will use all that money to support their patients and families going through cancer treatment. It has been a memorable journey for me and I have received kind encouraging words from several friends and family members, and so much support from all of you by making significant contributions to a great cause. I am truely blessed. As a thank you for your kindness and generous donation I pledge to do some community service (I am exploring some options) in the coming weeks and will think of each one of you and your families. Dear well wishers of my campaign, First of all, I would like thank you for all your contributions in cash, moral support, promotion of my campaign, and kind encouraging words. I am truely blessed to have so many good people who loved my campaign and supported me. I received donations from my family, close friends of our family, school community, my mum’s colleagues at The Wesley, and also from my mum’s friend who lives in the US which is amazing. I am Super excited to tell you that I have gone well over the target amount of $1000. This wouldn’t be possible without your contributions. I assure you that the money you have donated is going for a good cause. I can say this because I visited The choices cancer support centre two weeks ago and met with Janine, Manager for the program, to find out what happens to my hair when it’s donated and how the money raised for choices would be spent. Janine explained to me about the wigs program and therapy and supports that choices provide for persons and families affected by cancer. I was quite impressed with the work they do and felt even more happy that me and you have chosen the right charity to support. Now the most exciting part. I have chosen Farzana’s Hair and beauty Salon at Graceville, for my hair cutting and it is happening tomorrow!!!!. I will post pictures and video of my hair cut so you can see it as well. Hi everyone, Little drops make the mighty ocean! I would like to thank all of you for supporting my hair donation campaign with your warm wishes and generous donation. I have now crossed more than half of the target amount. It wouldn’t have been possible without your generous support. My mom has met with her hairdresser today who has kindly volunteered to do my hair cut and I just need to fix a date.I will update you regarding this soon, Kind regards Ananya
