We watched the Stand Tall Sydney 2021 Highlights video above . The TEDx-style event looked amazing. The responses that we saw from some of the students after the event were so positive and encouraging, how these kids drew strength from listening to Michelle Payne OAM and Alex Noble tell their stories, knowing they were not alone and could safely talk about their feelings, truly showed how important Stand Tall is to young people today. The fact that the event was also live-streamed to more than 500 schools around Australia really showed us that this event is not just for Sydney kids, but for all kids. We also like how the message just doesn’t stop after the event. Follow up online class modules are available to all schools which reinforce the speakers’ stories and key messages. This event and follow up work could, ultimately, change the course of many teenagers’ lives.
