Earlier this year, we sadly lost one of our best mates, Andrew ‘Mackie’ Macpherson.
Too many young men are being lost too soon, with suicide being the leading killer of men aged between 19 and 45.
On AFL Grand Final day (September 25th) we will be hosting the inaugural ‘Mackie Cup’ to honour our friend, where we are partnering with the Kai Eardley Foundation and the North Fremantle Football Club.
The Kai Eardley Foundation aims to save lives of young men by changing the stigma around men expressing their emotions.
The Mackie Cup will be played from 10am at Gilbert Fraser Oval (North Fremantle) with some of Mackie’s closest mates, including over 30 ex-AFL and WAFL players.
Following the Mackie Cup match, the AFL Grand Final will be on the big screens. There will be bar facilities, food trucks and entertainment throughout the day, as well as a silent auction and other fundraising activities. All profits from the day will be donated directly to the Kai Eardley Foundation.
The best way you can support the event is by attending on the day. However, if you can't make it, or if you would like to donate in advance, you can contribue to the great cause via this page.
