Táia McMechan - Australian u14 Girls Club Championships

Every year, with the exception of 2020, Basketball Australia hosts the U14 Club Championships. This exciting and prestigious event invites elite athletes from across the nation to represent their clubs in a week long tournament for national rankings.

Qualifying for this event is an incredible feat in that it is limited to the top four representative male and female teams in the Victorian Championship competition ?

From a young age, Táia has dreamt of qualifying for this event and to have the opportunity of competing with the best teams on a national stage.

Given the uncertainty of the COVID-19 landscape, we applaud Táia's determination, courage and resilience in reaching this significant milestone.

The cost associated with sending a team to Nationals is approximately $15000. This covers the team, coaches, support staff (Team Manager, Physio, etc.) for registration, hub style accommodation, dietary requirements, transport, uniforms and any medical/physio needs. The estimated cost per family is $1250.
