We all have a story. A sister, a father, a mother, a brother, a friend, the sad truth is that we all know someone that has been touched by the cruel impact of this chronic disease, cancer. Watching a loved one fight the biggest battle of their life and suffer, while feeling absolutely helpless, is indescribably heart-breaking and we will do anything to help work towards a cause that aims to ensure no other person or family should go through the same. Cancer is a bastard, it's relentless and unbiased, it leaves the lives it touches a shadow of their former self and destroys families forever.
Sadly, 9.6 million people die from cancer every year worldwide, and 1 Australian dies every 12 minutes from cancer. Research is key in finding a cure, and funding is critical in order to do so. Cure Cancer fund early-career cancer researchers who are working across all cancers and all areas of cancer research. They’ve assembled a collective force of brilliant emerging researchers who offer pioneering approaches to overcome cancer in all its forms, who would lack the funding they need without our contributions. Our funds raised will go to Cure Cancer to help them reach their vision, to make this the last generation to die from cancer.
On Sunday 7th November we will be participating in the 10km Bridge to Brisbane to raise awareness and money with your support. Please help towards a worthy cause and donate in memory of our loved ones we have lost, for your loved ones that have been impacted, and for our courageous survivors who continue the fight today.
In memory of Lidia Pelusi, Richelle Grant, Paul Hampstead, Alfie Pelusi and for our loved ones who continue their brave battle.
