Those of you who know Jade will agree that she is the epitome of grace and beauty. So gentle, kind and always with a warm smile. Well that bastard cancer has its claws sunk into her gorgeous body. She has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in her abdomen with an unknown primary source. Jade's western medical team are nearing the end of their options so Jade and Kai have reached out to holistic medicine for alternate options. So let’s get on board everyone! There are so many alternative treatments out there which will be expensive and stupidly not covered by Medicare. These treatments are providing hope for prolonging survival, if not beating it! Jade's only motivation throughout all of this is to make beautiful, long lasting memories for her children, Emery (4) and Ayana (2). Even typing these words breaks my heart. No mother should EVER have to think like this. Kai and Jade feel so extremely grateful to the universe that they have managed to squeeze a whole lifetime into the 10 years they have had together so far. Their outlook is incredibly wise, far beyond their years. The terminal diagnosis they have received simply left them considering what a strange concept it is - "they say it as though the rest of us are immortal? We are all dying...from the minute we are born. Remember this, and live accordingly - we do!" Both Kai and Jade adopted the quote to explain their erratic, unplanned lifestyle (good old Minty) "People always make the mistake of thinking they will live forever." See, wiser then their years. Most people don't realise this until well into their retirement when they are too old to move. Kai and Jade have been told that their story may be coming to the last chapter or two. But what western medicine doesn't realise is that there is a natural, alternative army out there geared and willing to help this beautiful family write as many more chapters as Kai and Jade choose.
