Over many decades, Ngoonbi has provided programs for local Aboriginal and TSI people.
In one example, our National Empowerment Program was successful. 75% said the most useful parts of the program were:
* Aboriginal History / Identity
* Family tree / Place of belonging
* Yarning Circles / Sharing my story
Unfortunately, the government funding for this program was discontinued. Meanwhile, our communities are still calling out for opportunities to heal. Especially young people.
In the Heal Our Mob program, we will deliver a cultural healing program that combines our knowledge and experience working with local people to support healing through cultural connection and reconnection to country.
We are tired of relying on erratic government funding and are looking to create a long-term, sustainable financial base for future healing programs for our mob through crowdfunding.
