Our beautiful little boy Teddy was born at 26 weeks. Teddy was born with a true fighting spirit having survived a traumatic birth. He lived for 40 days thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses at John Hunter Children’s Hospital (JHCH) NICU. We are so grateful for the time we had with our little Teddy bear, with the neonatal specialists, nurse practitioners, nurses, volunteers and staff all becoming a huge part of Teddy’s journey. We were able to shower him with love, cuddles, hours of hand-holds and whispering words of encouragement, hopes, dreams and comfort during this time.
Instead of flowers for Teddy’s funeral, we would like to raise funds for the JHCH NICU to help other premature and sick babies and their families during difficult and challenging times. We will always cherish the time we had with our little boy in NICU. Teddy will be forever loved and never forgotten ??
Each year John Hunter Children's Hospital cares for an increasing number of children. This growing demand adds extra pressures to replace or buy the newest equipment, provide specialist programs and provide healthcare support for our families. With the support of our family (businesses and individuals in our community - people like you), we can continue to help to improve the quality of life for our young patients, now and in the future.
