I watched my father's debilitating journey from the time he showed signs of Parkinson's disease at 50 years to his death at 70. He was a man who loved life, entertaining his family and friends, telling jokes and sharing his beautiful tenor voice singing, whenever he could,
As the disease progressed he became the shell of the man he was, unable to move or walk without assistance, until his relatively early death.
