Books for Sri Lankan Kids and Teens!

When I heard from a friend that they were sending books to Sri Lanka from the UK because children in rural villages were lacking access to books, I wanted to help too! I'm passionate about books and children's literacy and can't imagine not having access to books.
And so we are collecting 2nd hand books, and sending them on to Sri Lanka, to be then kindly distributed by the Foundation of Goodness, who do great work already in Sri Lanka.
These books will go to rural schools and also be a part of local libraries - something the villagers have never had before.
Did you know that even when you donate books to local charities, they can end up in landfill? At least this way, you know exactly where your books are going.
