How good is it when you see how a small, well-run, dedicated group of people with big, beautiful hearts helps and supports their fellow community members who have been diagnosed with a form of cancer. The Coonamble Cancer Survivors Group is one of these groups. With discretion and respect, they continue to provide financial support to members of their community through some of their hardest and toughest of times. They are able to do this through their own fundraising efforts and donations they receive.
We all know someone who has beaten or is living with cancer, and we have all felt its wrath! It shows no preference in who it chooses. With yet another friend’s recent diagnosis, some local girls had an all-consuming urge to want to do something. So, it is off with their hair! The heads are Shanae Deans, Lisa (Myrtle) Murray, Jo Nalder, Loretta Tandy, Kandy Bright, Sal Stratton and Ange Thompson. Saturday 17th April is the date and the Terminus Hotel is the place that these heads are going under the clippers! They are hoping this will bring a bit of fun and laughter, a bit of joy and amusement to their community while providing a platform for people to contribute to the Coonamble Cancer Survivors Group. The girls are hoping to reach $10,000, so please dig deep and give your support to the Coonamble Cancer Survivors Group and get behind these local ladies who are putting their heads together, under the clippers. Watch laugh & enjoy the shaving of what potentially could be the revealing of the best shaped heads in the district.
Well done
