I am going to be shaving all my hair off to raise money for Youth Focus WA on Saturday 20 March 2020 at 2pm at This Above All Hair in Kensington, Western Australia. Youth Focus delivers frontline services and education programs which aim to reduce symptoms associated with suicide, depression, anxiety and self-harm, and build long-term mental wellbeing to help young people reach their full potential. I am raising money for Youth Focus as I am passionate about normalising mental health issues and ending the stigma of mental health. I personally feel that between the ages of 12-25 is when a lot of people suffer mental health problems but don’t feel like they have anywhere to go. Youth Focus WA is a local charity who funds events and activities, along with providing therapy to those who need it. Everyone knows someone who has been affected by mental health and this is one way I can help to give back and honour those who have been lost due to mental health.
