This is what’s currently planned for 17 Smith Street and will be the precedent for future developments earmarked at the same entrance to town, in our beautiful village, Daylesford.
A group of us have already petitioned the developer to make changes to the site, progressing through the first round of VCAT hearings in June, July and August 2020
We’ve made great progress so far. VCAT has accepted our multiple grounds for objection as solid planning issues. The matter has now been referred to the Minister of Planning. We are therefore seeking donations to support the costs involved for the final Hearing.
The total cost is approximately $20,000, for legal representation, a town planner, and witnesses. Any funds raised go toward meeting these costs. The town planner has now been engaged to represent our cause at the Planning hearing.
