My 7 year old son suffers from uncontrolled epilepsy and his seizures are nocturnal (during his sleep) with increasing frequency. I am desperately trying to raise the funds to purchase the SAMI sleep activity monitor. The monitor sets off an alarm in the event of abnormal sleep activity and records everything through out the night ready to email to the paediatrician or neurologist. It also alerts my phone so that I am woken up and can provide assistance to him. Currently sleep is hard to come by as I am a sole parent to my kids and have no other person to provide assistance during the nights This would make a huge difference in our lives, Night seizures are hard to catch and can be very dangerous and JAXXSONs have always been abnormally long (up to an hour) and these types of seizures, lasting for any more than 5 min can cause irreversible damage or even be fatal. This monitor would mean i finally have recordings of his seizures (the doctors have been wanting this since he was first diagnosed but as the sole care giver it hasn't been possible. And also give other very important information to the doctors that they have yet been unable to capture. I would be forever grateful if i successfully raised these funds for the SAMI monitor as my income makes impossible for me to afford this much needed and possibly life saving equipment for my son
