The Woodstock Hotel (Royal Hotel) is located 22km east of Cowra in regional NSW. With more than 100 years of history and heritage listed, it sits proudly overlooking the old railway line and is glazed with stories of the old gold rush era. In March of 2020 a fire sparked from a faulty electric heater in an upstairs room which quickly spread throughout the pub. The swift response of local firefighters stopped the blaze from engulfing the building in entirety but the devastating accident left the pub with significant damage. Unfortunately the insurance company, as is so common today after bushfires, floods etc, has decided not cover the full cost of repairs amounting to more than half a million dollars. In order to get the only pub in town back up and running providing the much needed local meeting point for this small community, we would like your support to help restore this beautiful building back to its glory days and all funds received will go into doing so. The pub and many of its locals have had a very rough time over the past few years. They thank you all and kindly ask you share this page.
Looking forward to seeing the old girl finished!!!
