Ella and Maddie have both had family affected by cancer. Maddie’s grandfather sadly passed away of brain cancer and Ella’s mum has been affected by salivary gland cancer. As a way to help research & support those affected by cancer these girls have initiated a walking fundraiser called ‘Walking For Cancer’. This involves the girls regularly walking the Bay Run. The girls have so far walked 41 kilometres. They have a goal of walking 100 kilometres with a target of $1000 to be donated to two charities. The two charities are Cure Brain Cancer Foundation and Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. Please feel welcome to support the girls in their efforts to raise awareness & support these two worthy charities.
