Ride for Effective Altruism Australia

I'm asking for donations to Effective Altruism Australia. I've chosen this nonprofit because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope you'll consider contributing. Every little bit will help me reach my goal. I have cycled 100km in 30 days (September 2020) to raise money for this charity.

Effective Altruism Australia exists to most effectively alleviate poverty, distress and suffering. We partner with charities evaluated to be implementing the most transparent, cost-effective, and evidence-based programs for saving and improving lives. The organisations we partner with and grant funds to are regarded to be amongst the most effective at alleviating poverty by independent charity evaluators, including GiveWell and The Life You Can Save. By supporting their work we are supporting some of the most effective interventions that are proven to alleviate poverty. Provision of insecticide treated bed nets significantly reduces the burden of malaria and the impact that the disease has on economic outcomes. The treatment of schistosomiasis and other helminths not only reduces the health burden of these parasitic diseases but has also been found to result in improved education outcomes in children and also translate to higher income potential in adulthood. Direct cash transfers have been found to have large, positive and sustainable impacts on a range of factors including assets, ongoing earnings, food security, mental health and domestic violence.
