The first not for profit organisation dedicated to wildlife within the Alpine Shire, ROWA offers a unique, networked approach to wildlife conservation and protection. ROWA plays a vital role in the rescue, care, rehabilitation and release of local wildlife, striving to deliver current best practice and working collaboratively with carers and shelters in the Alpine and surrounding municipalities.
While ROWA is currently focused on wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, its future Community Hub be a welcoming space within the Alpine Shire, playing the following roles:
A resource centre for visitors to learn about wildlife, conservation and animal welfare
A place for local wildlife carers to connect and receive support and respite
A venue for fundraising to support ROWA's mission
