About
The Monash Community celebrated its Centenary in 2021.
A first generation child of an original World War 1 soldier settler was Grant Telfer. If you ever experienced the Old Monash Playground - you have experienced the imagination and engineering of Grant Telfer. He wanted to make sure kids and adults could play and have fun for free.
Grant was a living legend, until he passed away suddenly on Tuesday 14 December 2021 - in Monash's Centenary year.
We want him immortalised in bronze. His statue will be erected within the grounds of the Monash Adventure Park (site of the old Monash Playground).
This fund raiser aims to raise the final $20,000 of the total $80,000 to cover the costs of a full size bronze statue. We have already raised $30,000 in cash and have $30,000 of costs defrayed by local firms and the Berri Barmera Council.
If you remember great times at the old Monash Playground that was provided by this great man, then please show your appreciation by contributing to this fundraiser. Simply click on the DONATE button.
The next time you are in Monash, you will be then able to take your kids or grand kids go to the Monash Adventure Park and proudly say - my donation is part of that statue. Thank you from the Lone Gum and Monash Community Association
Hours and hours of fun..
