Hello friends. The MEHI Centre with the Nharribaraay Yinaars had a successful event in Narrabri on the weekend, with people coming to country from all over the place. There was a lot of exchange of information about what is happening on country and how to bring our mob together, raising concerns about water and how we can take care of country, maintain our culture and become stronger. Its is our land, our water, our heritage. Information has been hidden from our mob and now it is coming out. We are doing this the traditional way, its about Gomeroi sitting down and working it out by talking and respect and including the wider community to support us. We are taking back our power. It was run by Gomeroi for Gomeroi on Gomeroi to give the Narrabri Yinaars a voice, which is only going to get stronger now. Thank you to my sisters and all who continue the fight to show our people they are the voice of our country.
This event to build a voice for Narrabri mob, Has seen nearly all the fund now all spent. Please donate further to enable myself and other Traditional Owners go to Canberra and the Tent Embassy to seek meetings with some politicians to let them know we will not give up the fight.

Yaama to all those who have helped me building a voice for Gomeroi Traditional Owners in country to inform our people about the need to stop Santos. I have spent $6,000 so far on travel, meetings, media, videos for various people who are helping the campaign. TO groups have set up in different towns and now actions are being planned. This campaign is not only to build opposition to Santos but to strengthen our cultural ties to country. It is being lead by women, as by lore, water is women's business but the men are ready too. Through the voice of traditional culture we will stop Santos and demand no Land Use Agreement be signed. Stay tuned for developments. Polly.
