Shaping the future of Perth's music scene: support our dj program

We would like to acknowledge that we are living on the stolen lands of Noongar country and the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation. We would like to pay our respects to the elders past, present and emerging and to all the First Nations peoples, including those who contribute to this project. Sovereignty has never been ceded and treaties never signed.

We want to see more Bla(c)k and brown artists take up space in the Australian music scene, specifically more djs and producers. This can only happen if tangible actions are taken to ensure that music production and DJ lessons are more accessible to such communities.

This is why we are launching 6-12 month long FREE workshops that are specifically dedicated to Bla(c)k and Brown youth currently living in Perth who are interested in Djing. These workshops wouldn’t be possible without the insight from experienced djs and producers and that’s why we are collaborating with local Djs so they could pass on skills to the rest of the community. Our workshop will also work on artist development as topics such as event bookings, social media marketing and much more will be discussed.

We need your help in bringing this to life, all the funds donated will be used to secure equipment for the DJ workshops.
