About

As many of you know, Melissa was a Babinda School graduate, before she travelled to Townsville to complete her law degree. After her diagnosis Melissa expressed her wish to establish a scholarship to be awarded annually to a female student who has completed year 12 at Babinda State School, and demonstrated leadership (not necessarily either public or formal in nature) and support to others in her school community. This cause will honour Melissa's wish. In the event that funds are raised surplus to requirements, the donations will be used to fund alternative prizes, programs, or facilities at Babinda School, to be agreed upon by the P&C in conjunction with Melissa's family.
