WHY IS YOUR MEMBERSHIP IMPORTANT TO EUROA HEALTH INC; Last year Euroa Health had the support of 314 Members, this year we are aiming for 600 memberships. This year's membership drive will assist us in a transformation of life palliative care space within Euroa Health’s inpatient unit. We aim to create a special space for families to be cared for locally surrounded by family and friends. Membership will fund the inclusion of a ‘Cuddle Bed” which will enable greater closeness for patients and their families so rather than standing or sitting on a chair and being limited to hand-holding, loved ones can now lie on the bed and get really close. The opportunity for touch and holding is really special and families who have used the bed say it has given them immense comfort. The cuddle bed is not simply wider than a standard hospital bed, it has high-tech features such as electronic controls, smart scales, increased weight capacity and ergonomic positioning. The ability to adjust the bed’s width, as well as height, ensures it is safe for nursing staff as well as the patient and family. BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP •Our Urgent Care Centre is an easy and accessible option for peace of mind when family members or friends become unwell. The Urgent Care Centre operates 24 hours per day 365 days per year. •General Practitioners from Euroa Medical Family Practice provide medical care after undertaking comprehensive credentialing processes to obtain admitting rights and care for patients in the Euroa Health Acute unit. •There are a number of Public Beds available in our Acute Unit, these are accessible through Goulburn Valley Health. Service streams include Transitional & Restorative care, and low acuity general medicine.
