I will be running continuously for 24hrs around a 1km closed circuit. This will take place at RAAF Amberley in QLD beginning at 1500AEST ON 28 May. I will be running to support the UNICEF Coronavirus Appeal. Children are at risk from the disease, but also from the disruption to health and education services, impacts on caregivers, and separation from family members. UNICEF is sending supplies and support to families most in need around the world at this difficult time. Please help me support this worthy cause by offering whatever donation you can to the cause.

The legs have survived! Amazingly I picked up only one blister and no bloodshed. 172 times over the gravely section of the “track” without a stack is also a win. I’m getting in lots of good food and nutrition. Tackling the stairs yesterday morning wasn’t too speed but I managed a stroll in the afternoon (to get some beers) and am off out again shortly. The hard yards of the challenge were all worth it for the last lap. I was overwhelmed by the turn out at the end of the 24hrs and so happy to see my good friends and colleagues come together in such a great atmosphere of positivity. That’s what this challenge was all about. In a period where the rules imposed on us have changed significantly I wanted to focus on what we can still do and achieve. Next time you’re feeling lethargic, frustrated or bored, throw on your runners and get the legs pumping. Last bit of training prep complete in some decent conditions this weekend. Thanks so much for your donation! It really is a great cause and if that’s not your motivation - don’t worry, I’ll definitely be well and truely in the hurt locker during this challenge. Weather forecast is looking promising. Going to be great to cut a few laps with the volunteers who’ve kindly donated their time to support me along the way as well. Thanks so much to them all
