'Run to Raise' for mental health support

Irrewarra Cricket Club and the community are hitting the pavement on Saturday May 30th to run or walk as many km’s as they can to raise funds for mental health support. This is a selfless challange for the greater good of our community. Our club, along with many others, deals with the challenge of mental health.

We're asking for all male and female cricketers in both juniors and seniors to get active to raise money in support of local group Let's Talk Colac. Family members and anyone from the community are invited to join in. Ask people to sponor, for example $1 for each km you complete, otherwise they can just make a flat donation. Let's see how many people can reach 20km+ in the day. As a club our target is 761km which is from Colac to Adelaide.

The challenge on Saturday the of 30th May begins at 6am and finishes at 6pm. Participants need to record their activity via a gps watch or downloading a fitness app (Strava) on their phone. They'll send the activity to Jaccob Rodda who will provide updates on the Irrewarra Cricket Club Facebook page over the course of the day.

Participants are asked to wear club shirt or hat on the day, showing our force on the local streets. There will be club incentives for those who run the most km's and raise the most funds.
