Joe’s fund-raising page will close at the end of October, so anyone who hasn’t donated, and wants to, had better get a move on!
Joe got to the top of Everest and just kept going - over 10,000 meters height gained since the start of his challenge, and more importantly over $5000 raised for the two charities he’s supporting. The new photo is the top of Mount Edward’s which Joe climbed yesterday.

Joe has made it to the top of Everest!
Here is Joe on the summit of Mt Maroon. Joe climbed Mt Maroon yesterday and in doing so reached 8966 metres total height gain - surpassing the height of Everest's summit which sits at 8848 metres. A fabulous climb and a great way to end 'Joe's Everest Hike'.
Thanks again to everyone who has contributed to the charities and supported Joe in his project - it's been an absolutely fantastic experience for Joe and all his family.

Hi Supporters,
Joe's now climbed over 8000 metres in vertical height since starting his charity hike. We climbed Mt Cordeaux and Bare Rock on the Ekka holiday Friday just gone - a fab day. Thanks for all your support X

Joe's now climbed over 7000 meters in vertical height since the start of his Everest Hike. Today he climbed Mt Cootha and last weekend Mt Mitchel and Mt Maroon. Donations are still open and all money received goes to a wonderful cause. Thanks again ???

Hi, here a quick up date on Joe's Everest Hike. Joe has now climbed 5171m and raised $2125. Thanks to everyone who has accompanied Joe on his hikes, and THANK YOU to everyone who has donated. Joe is loving the adventure of it all and hopes to complete the height of Everest before the warm weather kicks in again. Thanks again :-)

A quick update on Joe's fundraising efforts. Joe has now raised $1070, and has climbed 3970 metres in vertical height since starting. Recent hikes have included Joe and I taking a nostalgic walk from Cath's (Tom and Mirrum's) old house in Tarragindi back home via Toohey Forest and Mt Gravatt - a really great day. Last weekend Cath, me and Joe did White Rocks Ridge, which is a lovely walk, and at 40km from home close enough to be allowed under current restrictions.
All money raised goes to a very good cause - half to Bestlife and half to The Himalayan Foundation - so feel free to donate to the cause, or share this post!
