As all Australians know, 2019-20 has been a devastating period with drought conditions, bush fires and now floods in some areas. These conditions have caused our wildlife's habitat to be destroyed with millions of animals killed. Those that have survived now find that with their habitat destroyed there is no food and they are moving in search of their food source & water. As a result many have been injured by vehicles, domestic pets and injuries sustained in their bid to escape the fires.
Recovery of their habitat will be drawn out and food supplies are now needed to help them survive during this period. Those animals that come into care need food, housing, medications and other veterinary help. Our wildlife volunteers can only do so much; we are seeking help from our community to assist us to provide the care and food needed for these animals to one day be able to return to their natural habitat.
