Our fur baby Jasper recently ingested rat bait. This lead to him needing critical care in order to survive. We are hoping to raise funds to help pay his vet bills and donate to the RSPCA.
Jasper's story
Just over 2 years ago, Jasper was adopted from an animal shelter. Cute and friendly he's always enjoyed playing and eating.
A few weeks ago however, Jasper became suddenly very sick, it appeared he'd eaten something he shouldn't have - rat bait. Bleeding into his lungs, Jasper needed an immediate blood transfusion and luckily an amazing cat named Mr Perkins came to the rescue. We can't thank him enough, along with the vets that have set Jasper on the road to a full recovery. Many rat baits can act in the body for up to 6 weeks, so daily medication and lots of tender loving care have been the routine until Jasper is well again. (For more information see the RSPCA link on rat bait

Unfortunately, we did not have pet insurance, largely due to some of Jasper's pre existing conditions when he was adopted from the shelter. This has meant a bill of over $6,000.
With rat bait toxicity becoming an increasingly bigger issue here in Sydney we'd also like to raise funds for the RSPCA to support any further work that can be done to avoid more animals suffering.50% of funds raised will be donated to the RSPCA.
It's been a very stressful time and we're so relieved that Jasper is doing better. Any help received is much appreciated.
Thank you :)
