Salud a la Calle

Chile has been gripped by protests for the last several weeks in response to disillionment over systemic inequality, privatisation of water, and an out-of-date constitution written during the dictatorship of Pinochet. Government response to the protests has been violent, leading to injury and death particularly due to excessive tear gas and eye damage from pellet guns.

Donations will benefit Salud a la Calle, who provide health care to those people who have been victims of police brutality, in the exercise of their legitimate right to protest. As this is not an Australian charity, I had to set this up to bank to my account. I will be donating to the cause directly when the fundraising is complete.
