Make this Christmas mean more for as little as $5 (tax-deductible)!
PROJECT KARMA 2020 TARGET:
Child Saftey Schools Program delivered to 5000+ children, to 50+ Schools.
This year, for the cost of a Christmas card, you can educate a child in one of the world's most vulnerable regions on safety, protection, and prevention against sexual abuse and exploitation.
In 2020 Project Karma aims to deliver their Child Safety Education programs to over 5000 children across more than 50 schools in the Karangasem Region (Bali).
The cost for one child for this program is $5.
This initiative is part of the Project Karma Sentinel Model Project and the fight against child sexual abuse and exploitation.... and they urgently need your help!
Every donation over $2 is tax-deductible.
In 2019 Project Karma delivered initial trial sessions in local schools. The response was overwhelming.
'we estimated 30 children for one particular session and ended up with 100 children'
(Project Karma, Education Co-ordinator, 2019)
The Child Saftey Program has been specifically developed by Project Karma in consultation with experts in the field and local communities, with cultural sensitivity and age appropriateness a key priority.
Specific programs have been developed for:
- Kindergartens (ages 6-7 years)
- Primary schools (ages 7-12 years)
- Middle schools (ages 12-15 years)
Each $5 donated covers the costs for one child attending school workshops, such as trained facilitators, program resources (e.g. student workbooks), snacks and prizes for the children and administration.
