My name is Anton Schiavello and I need your help!
This year I decided to take part in the 2XU Triathlon Series, which is 6 events from November to March. Unfortunately I just broke my foot! Yes, I know you told me so, motorbikes are dangerous, it’s not you it’s the others on the road. OK, I concede. No more motorcycles.
However I can’t stop aiming to raise the $10,000 for Multiple Sclerosis, because I’ve already received over $1,200 from some very special people.
So how about this, we raise because we can. We raise because MS is a condition that 25,000 Australian’s live with, and that is 3 times more likely in woman than men. How about we raise, because there is no cure, and because the medical world still don’t know the root cause of MS, how it’s triggered or really anything significant about this phantom disease.
Why have I decided to raise funds for Multiple Sclerosis? Well, it’s something I first discovered as a child at school. Does anyone remember the MS Readathon? That was when I first heard about MS. Something that until recently I never really understood. MS is something doctors still don’t really understand, and more importantly what triggers it.
Please help MS Australia with your donation!
A little more about MS;
MS is a disease that attacks the central nervous system, interfering with nerve impulses within the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves, causing a wide range of symptoms from extreme fatigue and numbness to impaired vision and paralysis.
25,000 Australian’s live with MS, and its 3 times more likely in women than it is in men. As of 2019 there is no known cure for MS, however there are many treatments that can assist in managing relapses and slowing the progression of the disease.
Great cause Anton - all the best in your journey
