The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up! Hi everyone For those who are not aware, our much loved Kim Lusk is kitting up for another fight. Kim finished work this week and has already commenced her treatment. As you can imagine, this treatment comes at great expense and and it’s not covered by insurance. When someone has cancer, it can be difficult to talk about planning for the future, especially if they are feeling optimistic or are uncertain about the possible outcomes. Not everyone personally knows Kim, but a lot of people will recognise her name and will know how much she is a fighter. Her treatment is lengthy with chemotherapy, operations, more chemo and radiation therapy, which will take 6 months to a year. The last thing Kim and family need now, is to worry about finances. Kim is the kind of person you hope to meet when you are starting a new job or moving to a new place. People simply click with her – become comfortable with Kim, like they’ve known her their whole life and they don’t have to pretend to be anyone or anything. Kim gives and never asks for anything in return. She helps and never asks for help back. She is kind even when people forget how to be kind back.
