About
A special run for a very special man??
On Saturday the 21st of September Jack Whelan, Billy Schilling and I are running in the Surf Coast Century ultramarathon 100km solo event. I am honoured to be able to run along side with these two great men and raise money for Road Trauma Support Services Victoria (RTSSV) which is a not-for-profit organisation contributing to the safety and wellbeing of road users. They provide counselling and support to people affected by road trauma and address the attitudes and behaviours of road users.
We have chosen this charity because on the 31st of March, (Easter Saturday) 2018, I received a phone call to tell me that Stephen, my (step-father), my mentor, had been in a serious motorbike accident. This was his usual Saturday ritual, going to get some lunch which usually consisted of a 4-6hr ride and then would return back home to his wife, my beautiful mum. Although this time he did not return home.
Everyday he is my driving force to be the best person I can be. So to do that we want to help others who unfortunately go through anything like this by raising funds for the RTSSV so they can continue to support those in need.
Any and all donations are greatly appreciated, love ya all
