Rodeo 4 Life, the biggest fundraising event ever held for the RPA Transplant Institute, aims to increase awareness of organ donation and secure funding for specialised research by the RPA Transplant Institute – research that will benefit all Australians in need of an organ transplant.
Rodeo 4 Life will be an action-packed night of electrifying sports entertainment with a star-studded line-up of bull riding champions, professional cowboys and Travis Collins, seven-time Golden Guitar winner and back-to-back CMC Male Artist of the Year, live in concert.
While the entertainment will be exhilarating, Australia’s bull riding stars won’t just be riding for the grand prize, they’ll be ‘giving the gift of life’ with 100% of profits funding research at the RPA Transplant Institute allowing the RPATI to continue with the development of a world first organ perfusion system that will be able to extend organ viability from the current length of just a few hours to become viable for several days. This will allow more organs to be made available for transplant and a greater number of Australian lives to be saved.
For those unable to attend Rodeo 4 Life at WIN Entertainment Centre, Wollongong on 30th November, you can still support this live-saving work by making a tax deductable donation today to help the RPA Transplant Institute continue their research. Organ machine perfusion both preserves organs and enables previously unsuitable organs to be reconditioned and made suitable for transplantation.
This form of research is growing rapidly on a global scale. Without this vital funding from Rodeo 4 Life, RPA wouldn’t have the capacity to keep up with current research and development trends.
By supporting this special event, patrons or donors will be helping fund essential research enabling the RPA Transplant Institute to reach their end goal faster – to increase the quantity and quality of organs available for patients in need of transplantation to save the lives of many more Australians.
Rodeo 4 Life is proudly affiliated with Rodeo Services Australia (RSA) & conducted in accordance with the policies, rules and industry standards of RSA & the NSW Code of Practice for Animals Used in Rodeo events. Whilst the event is raising funds to go toward Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Transplant Service; the hospital or Sydney Local Health District is not involved in the conduct or organisation of this event.
