I have been lucky enough to be selected for the 5th cohort of Homeward Bound, a global leadership program which aims to up-skill 1000 women in STEMM (over 10 years) to become the movers, shakers and role models of positive change for our planet.
With an eye on climate change as a major threat to our global home, the 12 month program culminates in a voyage to Antarctica in November 2020. During this journey the 75 women selected this year (including myself) will foster lasting collaborations and build a sense of self whilst discovering their own place in this massive initiative. The experience is said to be life-changing.
Fundraising is a massive part of this journey. I have set up this page as a means of communicating my vision for what I hope to achieve in this program to those I want to effectively support as a leader - namely the ACT community. I believe that the ACT has an important role to play in advocating for best-practice environmental stewardship on a world stage. With the combined support of our academics, our politicians, our land managers and our incredibly engaged community volunteers I have no doubt we can continue to make a real impact on the way the world operates. And I'd like to be a part of that.
For those who support me on this mission, I can't thank you enough...
