THE AIM Nathan is raising awareness for brain injury and stroke in young adults by undertaking the challenge of tackling 5 mountains in Canberra during National Stroke Week (2-8 Sept). He hopes to also raise vital funds stroke research for the Brain Foundation and Stroke Foundation. WHAT HAPPENED Nathan suffered a stroke at the age of 29 from a workplace accident in May 2017, which left him paralysed on his left side. Wheelchair bound, he has undergone multiple surgeries and months of rehabilitation, relearning how to walk. He continues to push himself to achieve the impossible each day on his long road to recovery. HOW YOU CAN HELP To donate, click the DONATE NOW button. All donations go directly to the Brain Foundation and Stroke Foundation. Donations $2 or more are tax deductible. You can keep track of my stroke recovery journey at afterstroke.org

Nathan completed walk #5 at Red Hill today despite the strong winds. Surrounded by friends, family, workmates and community members, Nathan powered up the hill to finish off what has been a challenging but rewarding week. Thank you again to the tremendous support along the way, either through attending a walk with Nathan, donating online or through the constant messages of support he has received. We continue to fight stroke, not just for ourselves but for other survivors and also the community.

Good effort Nathan. I am proud of what you're doing for such a great cause. I have a very close one who unfortunately did not survive the stroke. To see you raising awareness about the stroke and the effort you've put in shows such a true leader of the ADF and of the wider community you truely are. Keep up the good effort
