THE AIM
Nathan is raising awareness for brain injury and stroke in young adults by undertaking the challenge of tackling 5 mountains in Canberra during National Stroke Week (2-8 Sept). He hopes to also raise vital funds stroke research for the Brain Foundation and Stroke Foundation.
WHAT HAPPENED
Nathan suffered a stroke at the age of 29 from a workplace accident in May 2017, which left him paralysed on his left side. Wheelchair bound, he has undergone multiple surgeries and months of rehabilitation, relearning how to walk. He continues to push himself to achieve the impossible each day on his long road to recovery.
