The reason for me asking for help, Is for my children who have a genetic mutation CACNA 1A which causes hemiplegic migraines and degenerative spinocerebellum Ataxia. They also have Dysautonomia, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, chronic fatigue a connective tissue disorder, ASD and a list of other diagnosis which can make life at times very challenging for them. Up until 6 years ago everything was bare able now between my health which is very similar to theirs and my other daughter has juvenile Arthritis, life is becoming challenging, we have been trying to move closer to the city to be closer to the medical support we need. Because our diagnosis are rare and need very specialised Drs, financial we just can not afford the treatment and testing needed at times. My husband was retrenched from telstra after almost 20 years of service we were forced to move out to regional VIC because we couldn't afford anywhere else. (not knowing medically how our lives where about to change and become our life).
My son was just diagnosed with another issue oral myofunctional disorder which is causing speech and swallowing issues, he will need intensive speech and thousands of $$$$worth of work done in his mouth to help bring his top front teeth over the top of his bottom teeth causing an over bite, to stop his tounge from coming through the front teeth and out of the mouth. We were told if it is not fixed, his speech and swallowing will only get worse. With everything else that he is and will have to go through in life , this is one thing we could potentially fix if we could afford it.. My daughter also needs alot if work done in her mouth, she needs teeth removed(in a hospital due to her medical conditions) and her teeth will need braces due to overcrowding and speech issues. My husband has also just been told he need a sleep CPAP machine because he stops breathing several times through the night which is another expense that is vital.
The funds I am trying to raise will go towards the work needed for both my sons oral myofunctional disorder and daughters oral health.. I am asking for your generous support to help me make life that little bit easier for my children. I really don't like asking for help but I need it for my children.
