Suicide is the leading cause of death among Victorians between 15 and 24 years of age. The social disruption and trauma to family, friends and the community is of increasing concern for us all. Because of this, I will be participating in Avalon Dance Stars on the Floor, who have joined with the Mental Health Foundation Australia to raise funding for this worthy cause within our community. Support me to raise money to address the mental health issues within our community more effectively. (More details on the gala to come.) Mental health and suicide are complex problems and responsibility for preventing suicide cannot rest on individuals, families and friends alone.
